Hue Pour Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Hue Pour is a paint mixing puzzle published by o9tech. In short: there is no account, and your game lives on your phone. Two kinds of data leave the app: what Google's ad software and its ad partners need to show ads, which you can limit, and anonymous crash reports and game statistics that help us fix bugs and improve the game. Nobody is identified by name.

Who we are and how to reach us

o9tech publishes Hue Pour on the Apple App Store and Google Play. For any question about this policy or the app, write to support@o9tech.com or use the form at o9tech.com/#contact. A person reads every message.

What stays on your phone

Hue Pour has no sign-in. Everything below is saved on your device and is deleted when you delete the app. These files are never sent to us. Some of the same facts, such as a level number and its stars, are also part of the anonymous game statistics described in the next section.

WhatWhy
Level progress, paint drops, stars, your bought hint, your Daily Palette streak and today's daily resultSo you can pick up where you left off.
Your collection book: which named colors you collected, on which date and levelTo fill the book.
Settings: music, sounds, haptics, colorblind assist, reduce motion, and the Remind me time if you turn it onTo remember your choices.
Whether you own the Studio Pass (iOS), or when an Android ad free day or Neon Lab day endsTo apply what you bought or earned.
A small game event log (up to 2,000 lines): things like "level started", "pour", "result", "ad shown", with the timeTo help us fix problems. The file never leaves your phone on its own. Only if you choose to export it (a hidden action in Settings) does your phone's share sheet send it where you pick.

This is more than some of our other games keep: the collection book, the reminder time and the local event log are specific to Hue Pour.

Crash reports and game statistics

If Hue Pour crashes or hits an error, it sends a short crash report so we can fix the problem. We use PostHog, a service hosted in the European Union, to receive these reports. A crash report contains the error message and where in the app's code it happened, the app version, your device model, your operating system version and a random ID created when the app is installed. It does not contain your name, your advertising identifier or anything you type. We use crash reports only to find and fix bugs, never for advertising or to track you.

Hue Pour also sends anonymous game statistics to PostHog, so we can see which parts of the game people use and where they get stuck. These are short records of things that happen in the game, such as starting a level, a result (the level number, the match percent and the stars), using a hint, finishing the Daily Palette, collecting a named color, tapping Share, an ad being shown or a reward video being watched, buying or restoring the Studio Pass, and turning a setting such as Sounds on or off. Each record carries the same random ID, the app version, your device model and your operating system version. Game statistics never include your name, your advertising identifier or anything you type, and we never try to find out who you are.

When a report or a statistic arrives, PostHog sees your IP address, as any internet service does. PostHog uses it to work out an approximate location, such as your country and city, and then drops the IP address without storing it. We use crash reports and game statistics only to improve the game. We never use them for advertising, never use them to track you across other companies' apps, and never sell them. You can read about PostHog in the PostHog privacy policy.

Advertising

The free version of Hue Pour is supported by ads. We use Google AdMob, along with Google's advertising partners, to show a banner on the Collection screen, an occasional full screen ad after a result, and videos you choose to watch for a reward.

Some of these ads may come from other ad networks that AdMob asks for an ad on our behalf: Unity Ads, Liftoff Monetize, AppLovin, Mintegral and Pangle. Their software is inside the app. When one of them serves an ad, it handles the same kinds of data as AdMob does for that ad.

To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, this ad software collects:

  • your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers,
  • your IP address, which gives an approximate location,
  • your device type, operating system and language,
  • how you interact with ads and the app (product interactions and advertising data),
  • crash and performance diagnostics.

This data goes to Google, and to the partner that served the ad, encrypted in transit. We do not receive it. Google explains its handling in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Each partner explains its own: Unity, Liftoff, AppLovin, Mintegral and Pangle. The ads are limited to content rated for teens and older.

On iOS, Hue Pour asks once whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, ads still appear but are not personalized with your identifier, and the game works exactly the same.

The Studio Pass on iOS, and the 24 hours ad free reward on Android, stop the banner and full screen ads. Reward videos stay available because you choose them.

Your choices in Europe, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before it requests any ad. You can change your choice at any time in Settings, Manage consent. Saying no never blocks any part of the game.

Your choices in California and other US states

We do not sell your personal information. Where a state privacy law lets you opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising ("Do Not Sell or Share"), you can do it through your device settings (on iOS, Tracking; on Android, Ads) and the app's consent settings. Google AdMob supports restricted data processing for these requests. The ad partners named above handle such requests under their own privacy policies.

Daily reminder

The Daily Palette screen has a Remind me switch. It is off until you turn it on, and only then does your phone ask for notification permission. The reminder is scheduled by your phone itself at the time you pick. No server is involved and nothing is sent anywhere.

Sharing your daily card

The Share button makes a picture of your daily result on your phone (the match percent, stars, pours and streak, never the color itself) and opens your phone's share sheet. You decide where it goes. We do not see it. The game statistics above only record that Share was tapped, and for which day.

Purchases

The Studio Pass is sold on iOS only and is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. It is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored from Settings or the Shop, Restore purchases. Hue Pour on Android has no purchases.

Children

Hue Pour is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help.

Reporting an ad

If an ad seems inappropriate, tap Settings, Report an ad. It opens an email to us with the app version, your platform and the time filled in. Add what you saw, and a screenshot if you have one. We pass it to Google and block the category where we can.

Keeping and deleting data

We have no account for you and no way to tell who you are. Crash reports and game statistics carry only the random ID made when the app was installed, never your name or email, so we cannot look up yours. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone, and a fresh install normally gets a new random ID. To reset your advertising identifier, use your phone's settings. For anything Google or one of its ad partners holds, see their privacy policies linked above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version is published at o9tech.com/privacy/hue-pour before it takes effect.
