Your privacy matters to us. AppBlocker is designed to help you manage your screen time — not to monetize your personal data. We do not sell your data to third parties, ever.

01 Information We Collect

When you use AppBlocker, we may collect the following categories of information depending on how you choose to use the app:

If you use the app as a guest, no account information is collected and your data stays entirely on your device.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve AppBlocker:

Purpose Data Used
Provide and personalise the app experience Account info, usage data, screen time data
Sync your data across devices Account info, blocking schedules
Process subscriptions and restore purchases Purchase information via RevenueCat
Send notifications you request Device push token
Fix bugs and improve performance Crash & diagnostic data
Comply with legal obligations As required by applicable law

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

03 Screen Time & Device Data

AppBlocker uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework to help you block apps and set usage limits. This requires the Screen Time permission on your device.

Screen Time data (which apps you block, time ranges, schedules) is processed locally on your device using Apple's ScreenTime API. This data is never transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to which specific apps you block.

Your estimated screen time guess entered during onboarding is stored locally and optionally synced to your account solely to personalise your experience.

04 Third-Party Services

AppBlocker integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Service Purpose Privacy Policy
Supabase Authentication & cloud database supabase.com/privacy
RevenueCat In-app purchase & subscription management revenuecat.com/privacy
Google Sign-In Optional OAuth authentication policies.google.com/privacy
Sign in with Apple Optional OAuth authentication apple.com/legal/privacy

These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their data practices.

05 Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Blocking schedules and screen time data are stored locally on your device and protected by iOS's built-in sandboxing.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you use Sign in with Apple with the Hide My Email option, Apple provides a private relay address. We store and use that relay address as your email — we never receive or store your real Apple ID email in that case.

06 Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Anonymised, aggregated usage analytics (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely to help us improve the app.

Local data (blocking schedules, screen time) is deleted when you uninstall the app or reset the app's data through iOS Settings.

07 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right What It Means
Access Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Deletion Request deletion of your account and personal data
Portability Receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

08 Children's Privacy

AppBlocker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

If you are between 13 and 18, please review this policy with a parent or guardian before using the app.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the app or via email.

Your continued use of AppBlocker after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
